When Jack decides to move halfway across the country for a new job opportunity, he leaves his working-class boyfriend behind in New York City -- both of them agreeing that they'll "close the distance" in a year. But as Jack's career ramps up and social pressures mount, both of them begin wondering if they'll be able to finish the expedition together -- or if they'll have to make the journey solo.
